【笔记】【TED】如何成为一个更好的交谈者

摘抄

There is no reason to learn how to show you're paying attention, if you are in fact paying attention.

rules:

Number one: don't multitask.

  • Don't be half in it and half out of it.

Number two: don't pontificate.

  • "Everyone you will ever meet knows something that you don't. "

  • Everybody is an expert in something.

Number three: ues open-ended questions.

  • Try asking them things like, "what was that like? ""how did that feel? "

Number four: give with the flow.

  • Stories and ideas are going to come to you. You need to let them come and let them go.

Number five: if you don't know, say that you don't know.

  • Err on the side of caution. Talk should not be cheap.

Number six: don't equate your experience with theirs.

  • All experiences are individual.

  • It is not about you.

Number seven: try not to repeat yourself.

Number eight: stay out of the weeds.

Number nine: listen.

Number ten: be brief.

I keep my mouth shut as often as I possibly I can, I keep my mind, and I'm always prepared to be amazed, and I'm never disappointed.
